Modronacht and Winter Solstice: Preparing to Receive and Conceive the New Cycle

  • Berkeley Location Provided Upon Registration (map)

Yule, the Winter Solstice, is the moment that the new cycle or year is conceived or sparked. But that’s not the whole story. The night before Yule is known as Modronacht, or Mother’s Night, which is the moment the fertile womb receives the dream of the new cycle just before the spark of its conception.

In this final pop-up workshop of 2025, we will enter into the the deep space of being receptive to both the dream and the spark. Before the year can be born or even gestated it must be received. We will move in rhythm with the slow, waiting earth, including restorative poses, breath work, and practices of emptying out in order to receive.

We can welcome 22 participants.

In the spirit of a true Speak Easy, you will receive location details and instructions on what to bring.
